While shepherds watched
Their flocks by night
All seated on the ground
The angel of the Lord came down
And glory shone around
And glory shone around
"Fear not," he said,
For mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind,
To you and all mankind."
"To you in David's
Town this day
Is born of David's line
The Savior who is Christ the Lord
And this shall be the sign
And this shall be the sign."
"The heavenly Babe
You there shall find
To human view displayed
And meanly wrapped
In swathing bands
And in a manger laid
And in a manger laid."
Thus spake the seraph,
And forthwith
Appeared a shining throng
Of angels praising God, who thus
Addressed their joyful song
Addressed their joyful song
"All glory be to
God on high
And to the earth be peace;
Goodwill henceforth
From heaven to men
Begin and never cease
Begin and never cease!"
Mom and I went in search of some sheep 2 weeks ago and ended up getting this picture in Teton. We stopped to get some pictures and the sheep came running. It must have been feeding time or else they really liked us. Anyway, we didn't find the herd of sheep that I was looking for (the ones Derek & I saw the week before that were not even fenced in - they were just by the side of the highway). We had a fun trip, though, in search of the sheep and we got to see some deer up by Green Canyon, also. Dad wondered where we had gone, but we were having fun. It was a good way to spend an afternoon.
Maybe I should go out looking for those lost sheep today . . .
We had a fun time. I got some good pictures also but wanted Becky to use it when she was ready. We need to go on a ride again. I'll bet Koria and Kimball would get a kick out of those sheep.
ReplyDeleteI think Luke & Layne would like them too. It was a fun little ride we took.
