The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
And by the light of that same star
Three Wise men came from country far
To seek for a King was their intent
And to follow the star wherever it went.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
This star drew nigh to the northwest
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest
And there it did both Pause and stay
Right o'er the place where Jesus lay.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
Then entered in those Wise men three
Full reverently upon their knee
And offered there in His presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with his blood mankind has bought.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
I think the appearance of the star is what caused the Nephites to have a night where the sun went down but it was still as bright as mid-day. I'm sure astronomers could explain this away as coincidence, but I know better. The creation of this star at this time was no accident.
Who do you suppose created this new star when Christ was born in Bethlehem?
Hopefully, sometime, somewhere, we will each get a chance to create our own stars . . .
Do you see the bright star in the sky? Did the wise men travel during the night time to find their way? You can't really see the stars in the daytime, but I guess they were wise so they got the general direction and could travel during the daytime, also. I wonder how long they had to travel? It may have been a couple of years or more. How far are we willing to travel to worship Christ? What sacrifice are we willing to make for Him? I hope when it comes down to it, we will all be willing to travel the distance.

You are a deep thinker Becky. Someday we will know the answer to all things. I love the Christmas story.
