C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S

When I was but a youngster Christmas meant one thing
That I'd be getting lots of toys that day
I learned a whole lot different when mother set me down
And taught me to spell Christmas this way

C is for the Christ Child born upon this day
H is for Herald Angels in the night
R means our redeemer
I means Israel
S is for the star that shone so bright
T is for three wise men they who travelled far
M is for the manger where he lay
A's for all he stands for
S means shepherds came
And that's why there's a Christmas Day
And that's why there's a Christmas Day

This was a favorite Christmas song of mine sung by Eddy Arnold.
If a true cowboy can sing a song this great, I thought it was worth sharing.

The decorations above are at Gage's house - Matt Black put them up today.

Here is a picture of Derek's tree.
I love all the lights Derek!
They remind me of the Star that shone so bright!

  1. I love the Christmas lignts. Sunday night as we were at Shanell's, Rod asked the kids to vote if they wanted white or colored light and it was unaimous. "Colored" won out.
