Merlin's TV store was where Derek and I spent an hour this morning - we only had to stand outside in the cold for about 40 minutes of that, but it was well worth it. he got a great deal on an excellent TV. He now has the coolest TV of the family. You can go over to his house and enjoy the view from his new 40 inch Sony Bravia NX700 LCD TV with LED backlighting and DLNA capabilities. We really had a great time getting the TV. We didn't get much sleep the night before because we went to Walmart at midnight for some deals but it was a mad house. They let people fill their carts an hour early and then stand in line (all the way to the back of the store at each checkstand). We stood in line for an hour and moved about 10 feet before deciding it wasn't worth it. We went back to his apartment and slept from 2am to 6am. Then we got the TV and had breakfast and then went to Walmart in Rexburg where we managed to get most of the items we wanted and there were no lines. There was also a better selection at the Rexburg store. We spent the rest of the day trying to recuperate - also the satellite guy came and said we need a new eye on our satellite and they can't relocate it until next Thursday so no more TV for another week. I showed mom how to use hulu.com however so she can still watch her soap opera if she wants to.
I'm glad I was at the temple and missed all of those frantic sales. There was a lot more traffic when I went into the temple. You guys did well and I am glad Derek got the TV he wanted. You didn't have to tell everyone about my soap opera watching, it doesn't quite go with the temple. Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteI love Mom's comments! I wonder how the soap would look viewed on Derek's new mega screen? Ever thought of that, Mom?
ReplyDeleteShe will soon have a 37" HDTV to try it out on.
