Guess how long it takes for me to WALK to work? About 10 minutes. I decided to cut across the park and go up the street just East of ours. This brought back memories of walking both to Central and to Kershaw schools. I remember walking with Shanell a lot. I guess I walked for 5 years with Shanell over this pathway. She was always the youngest in the school when I was the oldest.
What I didn't remember was this big hill . . .
When did they add this?
See that window in the middle of the wall? That's where I hang out now. They don't open the window, but I would if I was in charge. I remember the 4th grade rooms used to be all together in one big room and this was where Mrs. Kunz's class was. They have divided the rooms now and it is a little quieter. I always hated it when Mrs. Kunz's class or Mr. Gee's class had a party and we were just stuck working. I had the other teacher - Mrs. Moss. She was known as the strictest one. I had Sister Lage as a teacher's aide, though, and she was really nice.
Lots of memories for you to think about. Sister Lage is a cool lady. I need to go and see her as it has been a lot of years since I have even seen her.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you remember all of your teachers. I don't! I have a lot of memories of walking that same pathway, but with Shanell as the older sister and me and the younger one who was usually dumped off at a different school. I guess Shanell and I were in the same schools when I was in the fifth grade, then again when I was a senior in H.S.
