Ashlyn was very happy today - she liked to be outside in the fresh air.
She looked really cute in her hat too!
As you can see, Dorrin preferred to ride on the 4-wheeler.
He took a couple sled rides, but he wanted to be with his dad whenever possible.
Kedryn preferred to slide down the hill without the sled.
A face full of snow made him leery of those crazy sleds.
Nicole liked to go face first on her belly, use the sleds, and sit on her bum.
She was up for any crazy way we got them to slide down the hill.
Kaitlyn, Derek, and I took a long ride on the 4-wheeler. We went up to the big creek before turning around and then we drove up to where the a-frame used to be. The snow has been melting, so Derek & I kept sinking but Kaitlyn managed to stay on top. You can see here that Derek is sunk down quite a ways because Kaitlyn was as tall as he was.
The 4-wheeler just glides over the top of the snow. When you get off, you are up to your knees or waist in snow, though. These tracks are awesome - it will allow us to see the area around the cabin in a whole new way. It is amazing how different the trail looks when it is covered in snow. I am really glad we were able to go up and enjoy the day at the cabin. It was great!
We had a great time up there. I don't think the kids will forget it. It was a barrell of fun for them. The traxter is really nice.
ReplyDeleteWe were sorry to shear the bolts off though at the end of the day but thank goodness Derek and Lance were able to get it down to the trailer ok.
