Field Trip to Post Office

We had the kids make valentines for their parents and then we went to mail them at the post office today.  We got to ride the bus because it was so cold.

Each kid got to put their letter in the box themselves.

Our postmaster explained to them what happens to the letters after they go in the box.

And finally the kids got to ride on the lift which dumps our mail into the big truck.

Something went wrong with the lift, however and it wouldn't come back down.

I just helped the kids down - they had a fun time.

I think that was the funnest trip I have ever had to the post office.
