What Child is This?

What Child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing.
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.

Why lies He in such mean estate
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christian, fear: for sinners here,
The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear, shall pierce Him through,
The Cross be borne, for me, for you.
Hail, hail, the Word made flesh,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh;
Come peasant, king, to own Him.
The King of Kings salvation brings;
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise, the song on high,
The Virgin sings her lullaby:
Joy, joy, for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

Yesterday Kendra played some Christmas music over Skype and
we had a long distance dance off between the Ottesons and the Blacks.

Luke enjoyed the entertainment!

They really got into it and gave it their all.
I love the hair flips Elise produced!

In the end, though, I think they were a little tired.
When Landon got home, he took a nap becuase we wore him out.
 It was a very fun day and we had fun with the Ottesons,
the Welches (they visited too)
and the Blacks (via Skype).

I am tired just watching them dance . . .

  1. Skype was a great way to tend Kendras kids for a little while. The kids really got into it. What a lot of fun they had.

  2. You guys were lifesavers yesterday! Who knew that you could babysit from so far away! I think that the kids all had some pretty nice moves, and the hair flip was awesome. I think that Luke could have you on Skype all day long.
