This is us at 7:45am right before the polls opened. At 8am i had to go outside and say "the polls are open". It was an extremely long day, but we had about twice the voters this election as we did last May. We ended up with 131 people voting, but we had a lot of others who were either in the wrong voting district or who wanted to vote but didn't have proof of residency or who forgot their driver's licenses. It was a good day and I am glad I could help, but I am sure glad I don't work 14 hour days all the time.
We had 8 voting booths - there was only once or twice that they were all being used. Mostly we had one or two people voting at a time. The busiest time was the last 2 hours. Take a lesson - vote early and beat the crowds.
This is all I saw outside today - the moon in the darkness. I left at 7am and got home at 9pm.
I am sure glad I only have preschool today.
Wonder Woman! I went at around 5:45 when Jared got home and I had to wait for about a half an hour to vote. All ten booths were busy the whole time.
ReplyDeleteWe voted about 9:30 AM and there were about 5 of us at that time. I think it was pretty busy here in Sugar. Glad you don't have to put in that many hours every day. At least today was shorter for you.
