What is it?

Y is for YAK!

I went on two field trips today - one with the morning classes and the other with the afternoon class.  We went to a pumpkin patch in Lyman and each of the kids got to pick a pumpkin.  Then we went to the farmer's home and looked at his pigs, sheep, and the kids got a donkey ride.  We also got to see his herd of yaks.  They were pretty cool until the big bull started getting a little nervous and he was charging at the fence.  Good thing the fence held and we didn't have any kids that close.  It was a beautiful day for the field trip and it was very fun.

Here is the Bantha Creature from Star Wars:

They do look close Koria!

  1. That has to be the famous long horned wooly texas sheep. I bet it makes that coughing sound, like a albino troll with the flu.

  2. Yeah, looks like some kind of animal that would be featured on a "Go, Diego, Go!" episode. Wish Koria and Kimball could have joined you in the field trip.

  5. Koria just saw this picture and said, "Oh, sand guys," like the ones she's seen on Star Wars.
