Y is for YAK!
I went on two field trips today - one with the morning classes and the other with the afternoon class. We went to a pumpkin patch in Lyman and each of the kids got to pick a pumpkin. Then we went to the farmer's home and looked at his pigs, sheep, and the kids got a donkey ride. We also got to see his herd of yaks. They were pretty cool until the big bull started getting a little nervous and he was charging at the fence. Good thing the fence held and we didn't have any kids that close. It was a beautiful day for the field trip and it was very fun.
Here is the Bantha Creature from Star Wars:
They do look close Koria!

That has to be the famous long horned wooly texas sheep. I bet it makes that coughing sound, like a albino troll with the flu.
ReplyDeleteYeah, looks like some kind of animal that would be featured on a "Go, Diego, Go!" episode. Wish Koria and Kimball could have joined you in the field trip.
ReplyDeleteThe trip was fun. I think all my neices and nephews would have enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThey look a little like the "highland" cooos.
ReplyDeleteKoria just saw this picture and said, "Oh, sand guys," like the ones she's seen on Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! I actually thought of those creatures when I took these pictures. They are called Banthas I think.
