Saturday is a Special Day . . .

It's the day we get ready for winter.  Derek & Lance (along with his family) came to help Grandma & Grandpa out today.  Lance & Derek cut down 3 trees and we all helped to haul away the debris.  Derek & Lance & Grandpa had fun spreading sunshine throughout the whole garden.  I was busy cutting down weeds and suckers (as Dad calls them) and trimming some of the trees around the garden area.  Kaitlyn, Nicole, Kedryn, and Dorrin all helped to carry away branches for me.  We got pizza for lunch and we also had peach smoothies thanks to Katrina.  Ashlyn didn't help with the work - what a slacker!  I guess we will have to forgive her because she is only 9 days old.  Watch out though, I bet Grandpa finds a job for her soon.  It was a really great day.  Thanks to everyone for helping!  We even managed to get in a ride on the scooter.  I hope Mom & Dad can still move tomorrow, though - they both overdid it.

  1. What a great day. Thanks all of you for all of your work. We got a lot done.
I got up at 2:30 this morning and took a bath for 2 hours. I was hurting a bit. Dad slept better than he has since finding the problem with the mole. He worked hard and I thought he would hurt a lot more thhan he did. He was hurting at church but made it through all the meetings and I did also so I guess hard work didn't hurt us too bad. My legs hurt less today at church than usual. Hope everyone else is not to stiff.
