I knew the Rook bird was tricky, but I didn't realize just how tricky. If you look closely at the Rook card from a new deck of cards, this is the hand of cards he holds. I knew it must be a code of some sort, so I decided I would have to figure it out. If you take the number of each card and take the corresponding letter of the color spelled backwards, the code becomes clear. Let me demonstrate:
2 of Black = 2nd letter of kcalb = C (kc)
5 of Red = 5th letter of der (repeat) = E (derde)
11 of Green = 11th letter of neerg (repeat) = N (neergneergn)
3 of Black = 3rd letter of kcalb = A (kca)
8 of Yellow = 8th letter of wolley (repeat) = O (wolleywo)
2 of Red = 2nd letter of der = E (derde)
So, we end up with CENAOE - I knew this didn't make any sense at all, so I had to take an additional step and anagram the letters to get . . .
Any Guesses???
ACE ONE
Of course, the Rook is trying to say that the only REAL way to play Rook is with One as the High Card.
Anyone who has been to the Schiess Reunion knows that you get to play Rook as often as you want while you are there. I am probably playing Rook right now in fact. I hope I get a good hand!
May the Rook Force be with you!
You are a characcter Becky. I'm glad you are part of our family. Rook is the Schiess game of choice.
ReplyDeleteThat took more energy than my brain chooses to expand in any give day. Wow.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lousy hand to me. Deal me a better one. Change those 2's to 1's and it would look better.
ReplyDeleteThe Rook Bird used his best cards already I guess!
