This was what we did for Luke's birthday. It was too bad Luke & Layne didn't get to spend any time together on their first birthday. Layne was in the hospital and had to have surgery - poor little girl. Anyway, Jared, Luke, Kimball, Koria, and I had a fun afternoon. We started by going to see the dinosaur footprint. This is all of them going up to see it.
This is Koria posing by some of the heiroglyphs painted on the canyon wall. I told her she could pretend like she was the painting on the wall and she did a grat job. She enjoyed the pictures.
Then we went to the swinging bridge and the kids took turns going down the "waterfall rapids" in the San Rafael River. It was very hot day, so a nice cool break in the river under the bridge was great. Kimball and Koria both laughed as they went over the edge and we only had to chase the tube a couple of times.
Then we went back to their house and after dinner, Luke enjoyed his birthday cupcake. He totally demolished it. He enjoyed his birthday, but we all missed Kendra & Layne. I hope Wendy had a great birthday, also. It was a pretty good day even though it didn't turn out the way we thought it would.
That's great! Wish we could have been here to join in the fun and eat the cupcakes. Layne enjoyed a nice diet of all liquids that day.
ReplyDeleteI hope the liquids were tasty!
ReplyDeleteWe wish you could have been there too!
I tis to bad Layne and Kendra could't be there with you for their 1st birthday. I'm glad the rest of you had a little break tho and saw some fun things. Luke makes that cupcake dissapear very quickly.
